Patna Zoo Ticket Price Triples on New Year's Day
Patna: The entry fees for Patna Zoo, Eco Park, Energy Park, and other parks in the city have been increased for New Year's Day. The Patna Zoo administration has also made special arrangements to manage the expected crowd. Extra ticket counters have been set up, and online ticket booking facilities have been strengthened.
Increased Ticket Prices
The ticket prices for Patna Zoo have been tripled for 1 January. The ticket prices are as follows:
- Adult ticket: 150 rupees
- Children's ticket (5-12 years): 60 rupees
Similarly, Eco Park has also changed its ticket rates for 1 January. The ticket prices are as follows:
- Adult ticket: 50 rupees
- Children's ticket: 25 rupees
Other parks in the city, including Shivaji Park, Punai Chak Park, Navin Sinha Park, Veer Kunwar Singh Park, and Boring Road's S.K. Puri Children's Park, will also have special one-day rates of 25-50 rupees.
Closed Attractions on New Year's Day
The following attractions will be closed on 1 January at Patna Zoo:
- E-rickshaws
- 3D Theatre
- Boating
- Battery-powered vehicles
- Aquarium
- Nocturnal House
The zoo will remain open from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm on 1 January. To manage the crowd, 10 extra ticket counters will be set up, taking the total number of counters to 14. Extra security personnel and staff will also be deployed to maintain the arrangements.
Eco Park Facilities on New Year's Day
The following facilities will be closed on 1 January at Eco Park:
- Boating
- Roz Garden
- Adventure Park
However, visitors will be allowed to have a picnic in the park. A special attraction this year will be a 15-foot-high and 15-foot-wide Madhubani painting on a wall between the Roz Garden and Adventure Zone, showcasing Bihari folk culture. The park's bridge will also be repainted in new colors.
According to a park official, "The Forest Department and Park Administration have completed the repair work of swings, lighting, and toilets, so that visitors do not face any inconvenience. New flower beds and painted benches have been added to give the parks a festive look, and we hope that thousands of people will visit these parks on the first day of New Year."
